Kiku - November's Tanjouka

Blooming in the crisp heart of autumn, the noble chrysanthemum (Kiku) stands quietly amongst the turning leaves. Symbols of longevity, honor, and refined beauty, these delicate November flowers have been paired with their citrine birthstones to reflect the deeply thoughtful hearts of those born in this month. Each petal and leaf has been painstakingly shaped by hand, individually filled with multiple colors of custom mixed resin, and cured. Trimmed, sealed and given a final polish to maintain their shine, the individual petals are then combined to form a finished flower. After the flower has been created, it's carefully attached to handmade hardware and finished with a yellow citrine droplet. Extremely labor intensive to create, these delicate earrings are designed to embody the kiku's ephemeral beauty.
